​We had a fantastic stay at the Shangri-La resort and would highly recommend it! ​From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the hotel's grandeur and beautiful decor. Our room was lovely—it was well-decorated, clean, and so cozy. We especially loved the high-quality amenities and the stunning view of the mountains and town. ​The complimentary breakfast was another highlight. There were so many delicious options, and we really enjoyed the variety. The staff were very attentive and always ready to help. While some didn't speak much English, we easily communicated using a translation app, and it was no problem at all. ​One of the most thoughtful things they did was surprise a family member with a birthday cake and a card. It was such a special touch that really showed their incredible hospitality. ​The resort is also in a great location. It was just a quick Didi ride to the ancient town, or a nice short walk if we felt like strolling. Plus, they even offer a convenient shuttle service to and from the airport or train station if you book it in advance. ​Overall, we had a truly wonderful time and can't say enough good things about our experience!

The staff were really nice; however the room had a little bit of a smell when we were there. The windows also don't open all the way which didn't help with getting rid of the smell. The TV was located at a weird position on the wall, but the location of the hotel was pretty central to everything.
